Ghost Town of Val Jalbert

What we’re gonna do right here is go back, back into time… that’s what it felt like when I visited Val-Jalbert earlier this month. The historic village of Val-Jalbert is the best preserved ghost town in Canada, abandoned in 1927 when the pulp factory closed shop and the employees had to leave their homes. Metropolitan Museum of Art

Mayan dancers…

A couple of weeks ago I took some pictures at a corporate event. As dinner started, a group performed some ritual Mayan (?) dance involving fire.. Fun with Butterflies

The Botanical Gardens in Montreal have an exposition on butterflies at the moment, called Butterflies go free, which I went to see today.. Although there are hundreds of butterflies flying around in the greenhouse, it’s not the ideal circumstances to take pictures, with tons of people bumping into you as you’re standing in line from entrance to exit.
